Clothing for the Curious

Inspired by a special play space I created for my kids, it’s now a brand that celebrates creativity, color, and the wild joy of childhood. Our clothes are designed with everyday play in mind — full of vibrant prints, unexpected details, and the kind of comfort that keeps up with curious kids.

When I couldn’t find clothes that reflected my kids’ energy, silliness, and sense of wonder, I decided to create them myself. Cloud Room is my first business, and it’s been a true labor of love.

Finding a solution

From the beginning, I’ve been lucky to work with some incredibly talented creatives:

  • Our first print, "doodles" is by the talented Molly Russell. 
  • Our logo and second print, “bugland,” were done by the skilled Matt Clinard.

Hi, I'm Kate — a lawyer by day, a mom always, and founder of this colorful little clothing brand by heart. What started as a passion project quickly became a way to combine my love of bold design with the joyful chaos of life with young kids.

Cloud Room is named after a special play area in our house — a corner of our home that’s always filled with imagination, color, and creativity. It’s a space where imagination and curiosity flourish and anything feels possible. I wanted to capture that same spirit in our clothes, which are playful, original, and made for adventure.

As a parent, I know how hard it is to find kids’ clothes that are both durable and different. That’s why our prints are made by the most talented independent designers and unlike anything you’ll find elsewhere. They’re made to move, made to last, and made to spark a little wonder.

When I’m not working or chasing my little ones, I’m usually out for a run, baking something sweet, tending to the yard, or sneaking in a swim. This brand is a labor of love — inspired by childhood, rooted in imagination, and built for everyday play.
